SILENT R MANAGEMENT founder Jewerl Ross grew up in Los Angeles and left Southern California to study philosophy at Yale.  After graduating, Ross returned to L.A. to work in entry-level positions at ICM and Paradigm. Ross was an agent for three years a boutique agency and later a manager for 4 years at a small management company.  In 2006, Ross founded SILENT R MANAGEMENT.  Other SILENT R MANAGEMENT employees include creative executive Andrew Gerson and executive assistant Gus Corwin.

 

Some of SILENT R MANAGEMENT’s director clients include:  Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins, the writer and director of Moonlight for A24 and Brad Pitt’s Plan B.  Moonlight was nominated for 8 Academy Awards and won 3 (Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor).  Barry is currently in production on If Beale Street Could Talk for Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures.  Brad Buecker, executive producer and director on American Horror Story on FX and executive producer and director on 9-1-1 on Fox, both for Ryan Murphy Television.  Buecker is also directing the 9-1-1 pilot. Buecker is currently under an overall deal at Twentieth Century Fox.  Buecker’s debut feature Juvenile, starring Blake Jenner and Melissa Benoist premieres at the 2017 Fantastic Fest.  Stephen Piet’s film Uncle John premiered in competition at the SXSW and Piet directed all six episodes of season 2 of Channel Zero for Syfy and UCP.  Piet is currently in directing an original pilot he wrote for Gaumont Television.  Avant Garde filmmaker Patrick Wang’s film The Grief of Others premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and SXSW.  Wang is currently in post-production on his next film, A Bread Factory. 

 

Some of SILENT R MANAGEMENT’s writer clients include:  Matthew Aldrich recently wrote Opening Belle for Warner Bros. and Reese Witherspoon.  Matt also wrote Coco for Pixar Animation Studios and director Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) which is slated for a November 2017 release. Aldrich also wrote Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses that Warner Bros. purchased in a bidding war for Matt Damon.  That script was #5 on “The Black List”.  Jack Stanley sold his original screenplay Possession: A Love Story to financier Ken Kao with Ross attached to produce, Jim Byrkit (Coherence) is attached to direct and Blake Lively is attached to star.  Stanley’s original screenplay Sweetheart was #15 on “The Black List” and landed Patty Jenkins to direct.  Jack is currently re-writing Lou for Paramount, Bad Robot and director Anna Foerster.  Our Lady J, who is currently a writer and producer on Transparent for Amazon Studios and Pose for FX and Ryan Murphy Television.  Moises Zamora is a writer on Fox’s Star and previously wrote on ABC’s American Crime.  Evan Endicott is writing and producing the AMC’s series Into the Badlands and Warrior for Cinemax, Justin Lin and Jonathan Tropper.  Hannah Schneider’s original pilot script Homecoming is set up with Twentieth Century Fox Television and executive producer Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24).  Ross is attached as executive producer.
