Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins, the writer and director of Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk.  Moonlight was nominated for 8 Academy Awards and won 3 (Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor), and If Beale Street Could Talk was nominated for 3 Academy Awards including Best Adapted Screenplay.  Barry is currently directing Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel of the classic The Lion King for Disney.  Mufasa will be released in 2024.
